Volcanology would be my #1 choice.
Other than that, I don't know about getting degrees because I am still feel burnt out by the system even if cost and time wasn't an issue.
I'd love to learn to blow glass, make cheese and brew beer. It would also be cool to be an expert in steampunk or a specific sci-fi universe. |

Mythology and pop culture. They're "like" the same thing.
More seriously: out in the wild type survival skills, dance, dead languages, fables, oral-tradition based stories, bottom of the seas, furthest reaches of space, and mythology. |

I've met some people that are fluent in Klingon... it's more useful than you'd think! |

| I've already got a few mostly useless skills of my own, like runic and Ido. On top of that I'd like to know how to use an astrolabe, learn Old English / Anglo-Saxon, Manchu (Xibe), and just about any previously widespread skill that has since died out. Cool thread. |

1. Networking...oh opps...the anal refer to it as Network Analysis (where you take out the constant and look only at the connections then claim that these connected "people," unbeknowest to even themselves, are connected in an un-breakable bond of supreme significance...blah blah blah).
2. Esperanto--The International Language (and write a book like Umberto Eco...and then visit that little island where people actually speak a dialect of this man-made contraption).
3. Facial Communication (w/ a minor in Biopolitics).
4. Trash & Poop Analysis (I know the later actually exist, but can think of what it's called..skatology?)

Classic mithridates. Pompous, pretentious and always reaching for the obscure to feign genius. |
