I know this has been hashed out before, but people who just renewed in February, please update me. Did you need your Certified Diploma and CRC?

I've been at my uni for 4 years, and renew in August. I'm hoping I don't need the documents.

Not needed for renewal at the same employer.

IS needed for a new visa (change of employer with visa run.)

If they do want it AND you are extending your status of sojourn they will let you know it (you will need to sign an acknowledgment) that your next change of status will require it (so you have lots of time to get them).

.

That's how I had understood it, but just wanted to be sure. Thanks, as always for the helpful response.

I'm planning on going to immigration tomorrow just to confirm this. I'm wondering where it says this on their website? I'm having a hard time finding it.

I was able to transfer my E2 visa to a new employer in February, 2011, without an apostilled degree and without an FBI background check. I had to sign a few extra documents stating that I would have to supply both if I choose to renew/transfer in 2012.
