Hello,
I have some questions concerning Yeowon Kindergarten in Incheon.
I was offered this position through HandsKorea, and I was not even offered an interview, which I thought was strange.
I got ahold of someone who worked there previously, and they stated they had to work Saturdays for free, about once or twice a month. Secondly, trainings were done without pay.
When I asked Hands about this, they replied with "It's your free time, we won't make you work on your free time. Well, they may ask you to come in on your free time, but only 0-2 times in a year."
Unfortunately, most public school positions are closed now, it seems.
I am trying to decide if I should stick it out for another private school job, or take the risk with this company. A recent employee said they have not worked overtime or for free yet.
Any thoughts?

I would avoid this school. Forcing you to do anything outside of the contract... that is an automatic "no" in my books.

Hold out for a better Hagwon job, or for a job at a public school.

Are you only using one recruiter? Get a few more recruiters working for you. (Don't tell them you are using multiple recruiters). This will increase the likelihood that a good job will come around.

Don't take the job, any overtime, especially on a Saturday, should be paid.
