Keyloggers are a form of spyware that tracks all your keypresses on your computer (generally including passwords) and, in most instances, sends that information to a third party for analysis. It's unclear the extent to which Samsung has distributed this keylogger software and what hardware it's on (Hassan found it running on R525- and R540-model laptops), but if you own a Samsung computer, it's worth running a pass with your antivirus or anti-spyware app-of-choice for a little piece of mind. (We actually really like Microsoft's security tools.)

| I wouldn't be surprised about them doing it to notebooks in korea. didn't they learn anything from Sony's rootkit mistake? |

| false alarm, nice. i wasn't worried as i upgraded my laptop's hard drive for a 7200rpm one and installed win7 ultimate k 64bit. |
