hi this might sound random as my first thread but, are there any record stores that buy/trade used vinyls in seoul? i'm mainly into instrumental and electronica music so at least a classical music section would be must, although i doubt i'll find a place that carries braindance music... one should be so lucky. thanks, and well met |

Namdaemun has an LP store with a large selection in the underground shopping mall.
I'm sure there is a store in hongdae that has what you want. |

firstly, what the hell is braindance music lol. I must be getting old
secondly, check out the Yongsan Ipark mall. I think it may be the 3rd and 4th floor that have some vinyl in a few shops. A massive selection from classical to 90s french house.
Good luck. PM me if you want anything specific |

MyeongDong has an underground shopping center. There are 3-4 really good stores selling nothing but vinyl records. |

hey thx guys. that certainly sets me off for a busy day of shopping. braindance is idm(intelligence dance music)- glitch, drum and bass ect. that doesn't fit under techno and are usually more complex sounding, and much rarer to find at record shops. |

The Myeongdong and Namdaemun record stores referenced, are they not actually the same place?
There's also some used vinyl shops in the fleamarket near Sindang station.
Quite pricey, but there's a fair amount of rarities there. |

Depends on what you're looking for....
Rare Korean issued lps and rare Korean rock lps? 100,000 + won - it's expensive and it's a seller's market.
New US/Int'l lps? 25,000-30,000 won
You can buy cheap used US vinyl and Korean issued US band vinyl
for less than 10,000, but there's lots of crap to wade through. |
