Has anyone had any experiences with this branch?

I might have a job offer with this school, and I have been pleasantly surprised with both the contract offer, and my discussions with my director and a teacher.

Thought I'd see if there are any disgruntled (or happy) employees out there before making a decision.

Thanks!

I have been talking to the branch manager at this school for about a month trying to work something out. She finally told me that she was leaving the school this summer because the owner made it so difficult for her. She is going to Mokdong April/CDI I think. In the end, she actually told me it would be a very bad situation for me at Daechi. Take that for whats its worth...hope all is well if you took the job.

I wonder if the board administration might want to make a sticky about this chain.

Proposed sticky:

Quote:
CDI (under its various names) is facing a class action suit by both Korean and foreign teachers. The lawsuit alleges certain facts (in the legal meaning) which include, among others, that the chain's franchises unlawfully classify its employees as independent contractors to avoid the chain's franchises' legal obligations which include payments into the national health and pension plans and to avoid payment of severance pay.

Uh oh, I've already taken the job. I had heard good things from a current employee so I decided to go for it. Just wanting to make sure we're talking about the same person here...I can't PM yet, would you mind PMing me the name of the manager you were talking to cbeck13?

Thanks for the info

As long as they give you your pension and health insurance, then go wild.
