For new EPIK teachers, 1st time in Korea. Do they need to get a Federal CBC if they're from the states?
I know they waived the requirements for renewing teachers, though I'm not sure if that rule also applies to new teachers. |

| You need it. Only those renewing get a 1-year waiver. |

| No problem. It's easier to get it now, anyway, while you're (I'm assuming) home. If you want to renew next year, you'd need to get the documents done from here. I'm getting them now, because I'm not sure if I'm renewing this year, so figure it'd be better to have them in hand. If I do renew, It's smooth sailing next year. If not, it'll be far easier for me to find a job while here. |

Not for me, a friend wants to come over. First year teaching. I just wanted to double check if immigration rules are the same or different for new teachers vs renewing teachers. |
