Same thing.

They want to see what the applicant can do.

Still, show up with a lesson plan for a class you copied and pasted and you may bomb the interview when asked to discuss said lesson or semester plan.

Also note that ONCE you spend HOURS planning lessons or a series of lessons, you CAN RE-USE this material in other interviews with slight modifications. So the work itself is not wasted or lost.

Finally, good positions ask for more from applicants. I have no idea if the offer in this thread is for a good position however.

Still, considering University positions tend to be highly competitive, refusing to complete an application requirement is dumb and basically shooting yourself full in the face.

Just out of interest, I applied for the International trade job.

I've got an MBA, 5 years finance experience
in the middle of a MA TESOL with 2 years teaching experience.

any thoughts?
