It's been over a month now for me. I'm a little worried I have some weird new super-bug in my system.
Will I die soon? |

What doesn't kill you, makes you stronger.
Any time you go to a new country or a different part of the world, you are bound to encounter some problems. Take a look at the environmental factors around you and what you eat/drink. See if there is anything that you can cut out that might help your situation. If you are really concerned, go to a doctor!
Best wishes and hope you don't die! |

Sometimes people develop allergies in new places. When I first moved to CO, I went to the doctor's office (from feeling sick) and she told me that I had allergies. This was a surprise since I've never had allergies before. So, it could be allergy related. Just a thought. Hope you feel better soon. |

about a month and a half. Not real sick, maybe allergies or something. Just wake up hoarse, get a tickle in my throat sometimes, hock up phlegm, semi-stuffed nose. Nothing debilitating, but tenacious for sure. |

Wow.. exactly the same symptoms here, but add dizzyness and general lethargy on top of that. I thought I was getting pneumonia.
ANY food that isn't mild that I was able to consume with no problem in Canada is giving me diarrhoea.
It's much better than let's say, 2 weeks ago, though. |

Dry eyes and phlegm and snot troubles and sometimes cough.
I wouldn't call it sick but I sure don't feel healthy. It gets worse when I go outside, so I try not to do that too much. *hermit* |

Last year I was sick for 3 weeks. The doctor kept giving me antihistamines. Finally, I called my doctor back home, and he said to take the antibiotics he'd given me on my last trip home for a just-in-case scenario (he's from Asia, and knows how doctors are here,) for 10 days. It knocked whatever it was out of my system. My friend had the same thing, so he took my antibiotics after calling HIS doctor, and felt better quickly as well.
We don't know what it was. It resembled bronchitis/pneumonia, though.
Now, I don't like taking antibiotics, so this isn't a plug for them. I'm just saying that I needed them last year. See if your doctor agrees, as you've had the symptoms for a long time. |

I've been sick here for months at a time too. I think my latest throat issues may be due to the yellow dust as I haven't been wearing the mask |

i've been hammered with sickness lately. i never had any problems with the ol' tonsils in the us but have gotten tonsilitis twice in three weeks along with bouts of bronchitis and the common cold here.
i've actually set up a surgery date to get my tonsils removed its been that bad. |

I was sick for 2-3 months after coming to Korea. It was just one thing after another.
It has been 2 years since then... and I don't think I have caught even a cold since then....well... there was one time where I ate too many peanuts and had a stomachache... However, that was self-inflicted, and I choose not to count it. |

this makes year four for me, and I've never had it this drawn out in my life.
Probably has to do with stress. I'm anticipating getting fired here and having to punch my boss in the mouth.
I might try the anti biotics |

In one year in Korea, I had 2, 3-month bronchial colds. Couldn't get rid of them, even with all those funny colored Korean pills, until ... the long vacations came around. It seemed rest and isolation from my students was the cure! - If you're teaching kids, you're doomed! |
