yeah, it sounds good...
untill you remember the 7th circuit
u s court of appeals ruling (766 f. 2nd 1171)
substantially raising the ante to get on the ballot
effectivly barring minor candidates
from running only big $ can build a big enough
machine to meet the height at which the bar was set
there's been no 'real' choice since and all those running
and/or elected represent vested interests and not the tax paying
citizens which amounts to 'taxation without representation' reudux which
in another era would be a clarion call
and not the circus show currently on tour |

I feel bad for you Americans. The Democrats are going to bankrupt you. The Republicans are just plain retarded (and contrary to the objectives of their stated goals, will also bankrupt you.) Where do you turn?
I guess Canada is no different. (I am Canadian) Although, we do have more morons to choose from. Much more difficult to vote in this country.
The next 50 years are going to be interesting. I figure that I have at least that left in me unless I am murdered or die of cancer or something.
Sit back and enjoy the ride! |

Except it won't ever happen, thus the lesser of two evils (Dems).

You mistook "Democrats" for "the wealthy who won't pay taxes, corporations and Wall St. |

I'm not worried that she will be elected but the fact that she has supporters is a little scary.

If you are a liberal, having a strong Conservative in the White House may seem a little scary. However, that is exactly what America needs. This country may not survive another 4 more years of the Obama regime. Look at how far it has fallen under this regime. |

Honestly, I hope Palin gets the Republican nomination somehow. Her big mouth will guarantee us another 4 years of the Republicans not screwing up the country as fast as possible. I'm not saying the Dems are saints, but the Republicans? Yeesh.
That's why I like the Tea Party, it's helping to self-destruct the invasive and xenophobic Republican party. |
You have obviously be brainwashed by your liberal professors. |

Would any Republican have the balls to cut the budget?
Or would it be cut-the-taxes-and-pray? |

For thirty years it's been 'borrow and spend' under the Republicans. All anyone has to do is look at the debt under Reagan and Bush II. Borrow and spend. Borrow and spend. Clinton found a way to produce a surplus to begin paying down the GOP debt but Bush II squandered that and massively increased the debt.
Now we have a GOP House (with the power of the purse) which threatens to shut down the government over pap smear tests and mammograms. Next up is the debt ceiling. It will be a replay of ideologues on the right and weak resistance on the left. |

Republicans would have no problem taking money from Planned Parenthood, welfare, Medicare and education. What they don't have the balls to cut are all of the big tax breaks Bush gave to the rich. |
