My folks are coming and I don't want them to pay more than 120 a night.

I know they could find a sweet love motel for less, but they may need a place with someone at the front desk who can speak a little Engrishee.

Liz Hotel: 60, 000 a night
Station: (Gyo Dae yok) Education office, exit 14

I don't know about the front desk speaking English. Il baek, e baek will do. But as for services/directions, and if you have time, it's best to walk around the area with your parents/get them lots of maps.

Best of luck!

I`ve had friends stay at the IBIS hotel in Myongdong and also Casaville (living tels with kitchen, washer etc). The latter will give you a room for under 120k a night if you e-mail them. The longer you stay the cheaper it is.They have a couple locations like Sinchon.

There is also the Toyoko-Inn in Dongdaemun...

Metro Hotel is nice.. my folks stayed there and enjoyed it. You're near lots of western places to eat (in case your folks don't enjoy K-food) and the subway is right there. It's at Eul jiro Station on Line 2 in Myeongdong just down the street from the ibis.

Is this proof that there is a market for a reasonably price boutique hotel?

The options generally seem to be serviced residences, 5 star hotels, or *beep* houses or love motels which speak no English. Where are the boutique classy places??
