I go to the Tuna buffet places. The idea is you just sit and order. There are usually three levels. These places used to be quite resonable but lately they have gotten expensive. There's a good chain called" Dokto". Believe it or not it's names after that disputed island. These places are fun because they give out all kinds of freebie alcohol. A gut takes out the eyeball puts it in a kettle adds soju and gives everyone around the table a drink. The great thing about these places is you can go alone and you won't stick out like a sore thumb. These places are all over the place. Just look for that big picture of Dokto

gangnam has plenty of sushi places BUT to be honest, they are all pretty expensive simply because it is gangnam, if you are looking for quality then there is a few near the gyobo tower (1 is behind and it says sushi in english, and there is the korean of course too) and another is near.

if you are looking for a good deal, i love and will always recommend in Yongsan the sushi conveyor buffet on 4F although its in yongsan lol.

My absolute favorite place for sushi in Seoul is in Gangnam. It's an all you can eat conveyor thingie for 40 mins deal. It's only about 17k and it's very fresh.

Name is Dong Hae Do (I think). Location is on Teheranno between Gangnam exit 8 and Yeoksam station. It's right next to Coldstone and Tous Les Jours in the basement. Highly recommended.

haha you usually have to look for them. BUT the one in yongsan is in the yongsan station, go up the escalator and go around to the left into the food area. go to the next floor and its right in front of the escalator. its 18,900 for all you can eat. however the prices vary on time of day and also location. they have one in suwon near my house and its only 12,900 BUT amazing as well. il look up some more right now and post. (no classes today = free and happy teacher!) lol

Chris...which one are you talking about? There are 3 right beside my house at Suwon Station...but they have no sashimi and I don't like eating so much rice HOWEVER I saw a sign for one that was all you can eat sushi + all you can drink beer for under 15,000.

Definitely going to try it!

ahh the beer and sushi one i dont know about, but the one im talking about is right after you leave the station go under the road and come out on the other side (i THINK its exit 1, cant remember) and its the basement of a a building, you walk down stairs and its right there, i think the building also has a 1st floor paris baguette? but yea its just sushi with rice under it. i havent found any sashimi places all you can eat. and all the buffet places state that if you leave excess food (they mean the rice, you and I both know that! lol) they will charge an extra 2000won

of course i always eat like 40 plates so jokes on them! lol

Seen quite a few places in Gangnam that weren't all you can eat and still charged more. Surprisingly one of the better places I've been to was in a crappy area, and their miso soup was awesome.

Seems a little too cheap if it includes beer. Be careful if sushi isn't prepared properly it can kill you. All that bacteria and germs from raw fish. Particularly Salmon that is not farmed and spends part of it's life in sea water and part of it's life in freash water.

Out exit 6 is Ganji Sushi. They got the sushi on a rotating thing. I've noticed their quality is pretty good, definitely better than those other "All you can eat in 1 hour" places.

I used to live in Japan so a bit picky about sushi places here but there is a very good sushi place right by exit 8 of Gangnam station called 갓덴스시. (Gatten sushi)

They have several Japanese staff, including the chef and 1 or 2 who take the orders.

Prices are quite reasonable too.

Hmmm...and you're actually going to eat raw fish (or ANY sea product for that matter!) right now??

Good for you! You just might glow in the dark when you're done! Very Happy

A bit more seriously, even though I LOVE raw fish, I think I'll take a pass right now...unless I'm SURE that the fish came from the west coast.

I'm not a "scare monger", nor am I particularly worried about the reactor leaks, but considering how much radioactive water has been pumped into the "Sea of Japan" (otherwise known as the "East Sea"!), I think I'll pass!
