I lived in Korea from February 2005 until February 2010. I filed a 2555 EZ every year that I was in Korea, but does anyone know if I can still use that form since I was only in Korea for 2 months in 2010? Has anyone else used a 2555 or 2555 EZ and not been in Korea for 330 days? |

I did that when I got back from Taiwan. You can do it but you won't get the full exemption (not even close if you were only here 2 months, but it'll still shave a bit off of what you owe).
I think on the 2555 long form (not the EZ) there's a place where you can calculate the number of days you were outside of Korea and you subtract that from 330.
But the amount you earned in that two months probably isn't enough to be taxed on anyway. |
