If they say you wont need it, hopefully they follow through when the time comes.
It totally depends on the agent you are seated in front when you actually try to make the transfer. Anything other agents told you before or anything they told you on 1345 is irrelevant. 1345 is just a call center and they even have a disclaimer at the beginning that says agents can request what they what on a case by case basis - their information is just a guideline. The word of the agent at the desk in front of you is law.
That's all I can tell you. It's a crapshoot anytime you sit down in front of an agent. They can ask for anything and you need to provide it whether it's required or not or they can deny you. Arguing with them is pointless, it just annoys them and then they make it even more difficult for you.
All I can say is good luck and hopefully they let you slide. In the meantime, I would start making arrangements for the other documents in case you get denied. |
