| I am considering applying for an August postion but am a bit unsure if it's a good move for me. I am quite happy in my current school but part of me fancies a change. What are the main differencies in working for a Gangnam public school? I assume the kids have a superior level of English. The money and the holidays are obviously better. Are the principles /schools/teachers generally more demanding? I would aprreciate if anyone who has made a similar move could share their thoughts. |

Its hard to generalize Gangnam because each school/principal will be different. The best answer I can think of to your question is that Gangnam has the same curriculum that the rest of Korea has to follow.
I know thats not the answer you are looking for, but there is little point in getting feedback from someone from school X when you end up at school Y. |

One thing I've always been curious about. Do the Gangnam PS system give a flight allowance? The job ad says
3. Round-trip airfare for teachers hired abroad.
but does that mean in-country hires are just screwed? |
