Nice to hear Wild Nothing getting some love. That album is SO DAMN GOOD. Been completely addicted to it for a few months now. Seriously... everyone... run out and boy/stay home and download this. Such good music for nice weather.
Also liked The new National album, The Arcade Fire (it's the one that converted me... before I didn't quite 'get it,' but "The Suburbs" is frigging amazing).
And... um... that's about it. Man, I love music more than anything, but most of the new stuff doesn't do much for me.
Thought last year was a damn good year for movies. The Social Network was my favorite. Complete masterpiece. Black Swan, True Grit, Blue Valentine, The King's Speech (though a bit overrated)... forgetting many here. I watch a movie almost every day and they tend to blend together, unfortunately. But I was pretty satisfied with 2010.
I should probably start reading some contemporary stuff... unfortunately I'm a pretty slow reader. |
