59 pizza is a Korean franciase and it 's damn good. No corn nothing gross just a good old fashioned pepperoni pizza.
The basement of Hyundae department store in Seoul near Mia station sells pizza by the slice and it's awesome. There's three kind Pepperoni, cheese and lemon and Olive oil. The cheese and Pepperoni are great. |

No offense meant to any New Zealanders, but I have a strict code I follow when accepting advice from people about pizza. There is an inverse relationship between your proximity to New York and Italy and your knowledge of good pizza. The further you live from either of those two locations the less you know about pizza.
Hell Pizza sounds like Papa Johns.... |
Filthy pizza hipster get out of my thread. |

First time I've been called a hipster in my life. But I guess when it comes to pizza I do consider New York to be the elite Pizza in America. And if you've never tried it, then you don't know good pizza. Hell Pizza might be pretty good, and better than PJ, Dominoes, etc...(which isn't saying ANYTHING) That doesn't justify the price and if it's as expensive or more expensive, I will not be going out of my way to try it.
No Kiwi's have sold me on it's quality yet. I have heard its better than Papa Johns but that's not a good standard to compete against if it is "great" pizza. Is it brick oven? Hand tossed dough? What kind of cheese blend do they use? Besides the cute names and gimmicks, how is the actual pizza? Do they sell by the slice? |

Pretty much THIS.
What Hell Pizza turns me off is its rather unfortunate reputation of showing sketchy commercials in the past. |

I'd guess you'd have to say it in Korean.
My thing would be the price. Papa Johns already runs around 25,000. If it's more expensive than that being a "gourmet pizza" i doubt they'll do well here. |
I entered a Pappa John's recently and promptly left when I saw that we'd have to pay 25,000 won. I could maybe understand 16,000 for a large pizza for two, but 25,000 won is pushing it for me. |

has anybody south of the river tried namja pizza?!
when it first opened, it was a great pie--- good sharp sauce (not sweet) and the closest thing to a new york pizza I've had here in Seoul...
however the comments here say its gone downhill as of late....

| Wow a satanic pizza-themed chain. I'm sure all of the Christian Koreans and non-Koreans alike are just "dieing" to go there. I wouldn't spend one won on that crap. |
