I bought a can of Cheer's extra at a 7-11. I can't tell if it's the chemicals in the taste that are making me feel good right now or the alcohol. This is the worst swill I've ever tasted. |

There's really no such thing as 'good' tasting alcohol, just alcohol that doesn't taste as bad as others, like Whiskey or Soju. |

The worst drinks and root herb drinks. You see them a lot at the airport.
Usually Insam ju Guinseng wine . There's another calle Tuduckju. These root wines are just Insam Guinseng with soju. They just put the root in the booze and let it age. |

Korea must be the leader in bad alcohol, with China close behind. They have nothing to redeem themselves. The best alcohol in the country, Andong soju, is on par with mid level vodka. I have tried just about everything Korea has to offer and have yet to find anything I would bother bringing home. There isn't much worse than a glass of Hite with a shot of soju pored in it. At least it gets you drunk a little quicker than beer alone. |

Fleischmann's Gin and Fleischmann's Rye are pretty atrocious.
One time during a house party me and some of the other roomates surreptitiously poured everyone shots of Fleischmann's Gin for a big cheers. I will never forget the sight and sound of 30 people simultaneoulsy gagging/wretching, mixed with Calling on the Almighty or pfoanity and multiple people running to the sink.
Speyburn Scotch is pretty bad. Blatt's Beer. Black Label Beer. Camo Black Ice (Silver Ice is some good stuff). Old Granddad. Early Times. Imperial Vodka or Whiskey. Robert Burnett's Gin. Canadian Club. Natty Light. Stroh's
Good Swill- Ten High, Old Crow, Commander Vodka. Steel Reserve. Mickey's. Evan Williams. Five O'Clock. Royal Canadian. Natty Ice. Natty Bo. Red Dog. Old Style.
This thread makes me want to grab a cube of Red Dog, fire up the grill and sit underneath the car port. Have the girls from Scio Farms Trailer Park come over. Bust out the American Spirit RYO or even some Bugler...Neighbors drop by and have some Trailer Park Boys on the outdoor TV..... |

Regular Korean beer sucks. I feel like adding some soju fixes whatever the beer was originally lacking. |

The taste of Black Label or Falstaff might be similar to this beer. I've had Hite before and it's really not that bad. Black Label and Falstaff Beer used to be the swill of the swill. |

bai jiu is pretty bad. i bought a bottle at emart once.. each shot burned in my mouth. after drinking the bottle, the underside my tongue was inflamed and swollen in the morning. it was tender for days, thought i had cancer.
never forget.
that said...i didnt find the taste itself all that bad. no worse than soju or a cheap vodka.
Worst tasting swill goes to Southern Comfort for me. For some reason that stuff was really popular when I was growing up.
Steelrails..You don't like CC? Really? That's my low end whiskey of choice. That or Seagram's. |
