I wasn't here in 2001, but came to Korea for the first time in early January 2002. Since then, I have had three different jobs at three different types of schools: a hagwan, a uni, and now a public middle school. I hate moving so much...if I stay another year here I hope it's at this school, though I am tempted to stay another few years so I can say I taught everywhere: a yuchiwon, a company, and a strictly adults hagwan are still on the list. Am I missing anything here? Looks like I'll be here till 2008. |

You're absolutely right about feeling something special about having different teaching situations. I've had about 15 in 7 years and I have to admit- the varity is addictive and really great. That's not to minimize those who like to stay at the same gig for years. Surely there's some special things to learn in that. However, on the other hand- different situations have a special way of contributing to the creativity pool. |
