A Canadian high school secretary says she was fired when a student outed her as a porn star after she refused to perform a sex act in exchange for his silence.
The woman, whose nom-de-porn is Samantha Ardente, was canned in March after the 14-year-old student spilled the beans to officials at his Quebec City high school.
At the time, the boy claimed he tipped Ardente off that he knew about her secret life when he asked for an autograph.
But she now says he asked for more and when she said no, he blew the whistle to officials about her starring role in "Serial Abusers 2."
"\[He\] basically asked her for oral sex in order to stop what was going to be happening," her lawyer, Franco Schiro, told Canada's Sun News Network.
Ardente was promptly fired.
The boy was later suspended from school for creating a bogus Facebook page in Ardente's name with a racy profile picture of her in her underwear. |

That said, I do have an ax to grind, but it's not about prostitutes in and of themselves. The ax I've been grinding in this thread is about the fact that more and more, it seems like our society is inching towards giving up on the idea of ethical excellence and embracing a philosophy of "no standard is too low." I openly admit to having strong feelings about this topic, though they aren't driven by religion. There is judgment and condemnation in my words, but it's intended to be directed at the defenders of ex-sex workers in the classroom more than the women themselves. To that end, my choice to use the less "sanitary" term was intentional and intended to be noticed. |
...so why the bitter feeling towards ex-sex workers? Or is it just ex-sex workers in the classroom that you find offensive?
And what judgment are you making about the defenders of these people and why?
If prostitution was legal...would this debate even be an issue, or are there other ethical issues that cause moral upset with this?
The no standard is too low...does this include say... ex - lawyers, priests, doctors, military, cops, politicians, bankers...etc...or any profession where abuse is rampant and so many get screwed?
The bar has been set pretty low for quite some time, and society has just decided to put different classifications to it...as in the so called professions named above.
Aren't sex-workers giving fair service in their dealings with screwing people out of their money?
...and not driven by religion...you say?
Just what is the ethical excellence that you ascribe to?
As always, you are making some interesting comments...would like to hear more about them. |
