If you were going to go out for just one Casino night during your year here, which would you choose and how would you play it?

It definitely wouldn't be the coex casino. None of the games there interest me (actually, I'm only interested in poker, so I guess it'd have to be walker hill). And the last time I went to the hilton near seoul station they were remodeling, it was cramped and dirty and devoid of useful games.

I had a look on the walkerill website. They only seemed to have 3-card stud. Anyone know if they have Texas Hold'em or Omaha tables?

Starting in May Walker will offer PLO and Limit Holdem on Monday and Tuesday nights. They always have a 1/2 No Limit Hold 'Em game going. I am a reg there so I'd be happy to answer questions.

The COEX casino is definitely the nicest casino in Korea. It's about as nice as some of the casinos I saw in Macau though wayyyyyyy smaller. It has the best rules for Blackjack (6 decks, Walker uses 8 ) and it's 6 seats. The Millineum 7 Luck has 7 seats for Blackjack which I don't like as much and it's way more crowded.

waynehead: If you're only interested in poker then yeah you should stick to casinos with poker rooms...

Illysook: Kinda depends. You can get wayyyyy drunk at Walker and they never cut people off from booze. They also have $5 min bet blackjack and $2.50 min bet roulette (min at 7 luck is $10 for BJ and I'm pretty sure $5 for roulette) so your night can go a lot longer if you want.

Just print out a blackjack basic strategy card and have fun. Or play whatever you want...except baccarat that game is as boring as hell.

If you start to win at blackjack, you'd do well to pick up your earnings and step away from the table. Overstated I know, but something that can't be stated enough.

What if you win like, the first hand?

It's entertainment people can do whatever they want with their money. House edge in BJ is extremely small (like about half a percent) so I don't know why you single that one game out. It's probably the best game to play if you just want to get drunk and have a fun time.

Poker definitely has worse odds than Blackjack if you aren't good.

The best way to limit your losses is to only bring a certain amount of money with you and leave the ATM card at home. And of course, don't bring more than you can afford to lose.

So long as you follow the advice above and don't bring more than you can afford to lose, yeah go ahead and have fun.
