On the other hand, you could put your boss to the test. Give him 30 days notice, then see how he reacts and how he treats you.
Catch-22: that could give the boss time to phone the manager of the bank across the street to get him to report "funny stuff" going on with your account some time after that notice where you really decide to bail early.
Surely everyone knows that "loans" are relationship based and so being a relationship exists- so does an inroad into your financial transactions.
I gave my notice 5/6 times and 5 of those times it turned-out poorly no matter how many hoops this poodle tried to jump through. Two times I gave notice and got "fired" and re-hired by the same schools (2). Sick! As Rapier said sometimes giving notice can be a way to make things change for the better. Usually the begging starts. Anyway-
Hoops:
* work extra-hard towards the end to be friendly
* work extra-hard teaching
* work extra-hard to have ALL bills covered
* re-payed airfare (even on the 1 time where I didn't give notice - left lots of money with a buddy to give to the boss for air-fare)
bla, bla, bla
Benefit of giving notice and being a good poodle until that final day= 0. Also- I know some teachers who support giving notice and they know how ugly things can get. They know better! |

| Airplane ticket question. How long before I leave do I have to buy the ticket? I've heard that I only need to be there a few hours before hand, and if they have space than I can buy one. I've also heard that they won't do that with international fligths. I called Air Canada and I think (unless I misunderstood them) that I could buy one the day of. Any suggestions? |
