that's the official term for it, did you know that? anyway, is having your second toe longer that weird to people? i have it and i always thought it was normal looking and i find a big toe being longer looks strange, but after watching "shallow hal" i started to second guess myself.

what do you have?

After looking at my feet I noticed on my left foot my 2nd toe is slightly longer than my big toe. On my right foot my 2nd toe is slightly shorter than my big toe. Is there a name for that? Other than "freak toes" I mean.

The official name is actually Texas Toe, because feet like that fit perfectly into cowboy boots. It is a result of inbreeding and common in the southern united states.

Certain Texans with Morton's Toe might take offense to that.

Wiki: "A longer second toe has often been associated with royalty, particularly during the rule of the Ptolemaic dynasty when Egypt was under Greek rulership. It was an idealized form in Greek sculpture, and this persisted as an aesthetic standard through Roman and Renaissance periods and later (the Statue of Liberty has toes of this proportion)."

I bet having Texas Toe would come in handy when you climb a chain link fence! Are there any other special skills or abilities you guys have as a result of your Texas Toe?

I don't know if it qualifies as a skill or ability, but you've heard the phrase, right? "Everything is..."

Second toes, etc.

I can wear a toe ring, can also pick my nose with it and play the drums. (Only one my left foot though and not at the same time.)

I have a friend with flat feet that can give you the bird with his toes. We thought it was pretty cool in Jr. high.

When I did a Google image search for "foot" the very first image has a slightly longer second toe. Mine are fairly close but the second toe is just barely longer. I thought this was the norm too.

(Also Google imaging toes... eww.)

I was a teenager before I realized that there were people whose big toe wasn't their biggest toe lengthwise. It looked freakish at first, but like left handedness, quickly looks normal. The French call it pied de Nanderthal.

Only about 10% of people have it and there are a lot of health problems associated with it.

There is a difference between this:

(Very extreme)

and this:

(Very normal, I think.)

hmm.. I've always been very adept at picking things up with my toes.. but I think that has more to do with them being skinny rather than "Morton's".
Laughing what a weird topic hahaha, thanks!

along the same lines, is your ring finger longer than your pointer? If not, and you are a guy then you have a much higher chance of being gay!

Seriously, research it.

The point is, that, and the 'research' linked above are total BS. They are based on speculative science.

No. People with Texas Toe can fill out a cowboy boot like nobody's business. It has been researched extensively.
