That spreadsheet is awesome, thank you. I wonder who made it and how recent it is.. |
Wasn't it the poster known as Makemischief who made this spreadsheet? I agree, it is pretty awesome. I'd also like to see visa status information (E1 or E2) included as well. |

| From looking at the spread sheet posted above, I can see most places have low salaries, high hours and all now have higher income tax. |
Higher income tax? What are you talking about? |

All foreign English teachers had their taxes increased recently. Didn't you know? There wer plenty of threads about it in February.
There was a tax exeption eliminated by the government requiring all English teachers be taxed on 100% of their income rather than 80%. The exemption was in place for many years, but now is gone. Foreign teachers saw their income tax rise considerably. |

Their recruitment policies are becoming more arduous as well: requiring bundles of documents rather than electronic copies, video-taped teaching demos or in-person teaching demos, in-person interviews only.
I suppose this separates the people who really want the job from those who want to apply to many places and then take their pick. But it also restricts the pool of potential applicants to those living in the vicinity of the institution.
This is one of my biggest gripes with Korean uni jobs at the moment. |

Many people played a part, MM was part of it, but not the publisher. |

Currently, the author(s) are not updating it. Someone else could copy the spreadsheet and update it as they see fit. |

MM was the publisher, but I am no longer teaching ESL. Happy to have someone else update it (as other have contributed in the past). Just PM me. |

My mistake. The name at the bottom misled me. |
