Also another MAC user trying to sell a MACbook G4 17' for 600,000won..

I think all MAC Huggers must be SMOKING too often that they can't even keep track of the years that had passed..

APPLE and PC use the IDENTICAL hardwares now. So stop saying crazy thing like MAC is SUPERIOR.. The only good thing about MAC? It looks good on the outside.. But KNOWN issues with APPLE Laptop.. Usually MOTHERBOARD on the laptop die after 2years of usage.. And that's the most costly part in the laptop.

So as for you posting the 2006 Macbook.. Ur laptop is a timing BOMB and u asking 500,000won?
I'm better off with a NEW Netbook (less than 400,000won) and i can run a HACKINTosh on it. with 2Gig ram and 160G harddrive. Checkout GMarket.

I'm not here to bash Macs. I own nearly the exact same computer as you; a white Macbook bought in 2007.

"Trolls" are the risk you take posting on a forum. Put it on Craigslist and let it be if you don't want comments. I know I've nearly bought things on here a couple times, and were it not for these "trolls" I'd have been ripped off.

Do you know that it costs $29 to upgrade to Snow Leopard? And you're valuing the previous version at $150?

The real thing that people should worry about with this computer is the 1 GB of RAM. 1 GB of RAM won't even allow you to run a VM anymore.

Umm... I haven't said a single thing about Mac being superior. But thanks for your comments. And I guess I would be someone trying to sell for 600,000, but I'm selling for 500,000. Did you see my post or do any research because as I said, there was an identical macbook that sold on eBay for over $500, and this price is less than that.

Why do you people not even look at what I'm posting and instead only care about your own opinion on the topic? This isn't a "Mac v. PC" thread. It's me selling a macbook thread. So unless you want to buy it, go start the age-old argument somewhere else.

Oh yeah, and if you HAD read my post, you would see that I agree with the PC being good, I am an avid supporter of PC and have built more PC gaming desktops than I've bought Macs. So.... yeah... I know what I'm talking about too

Yet another person that doesn't read my posts. If you would look, you need Leopard in order to upgrade to Snow Leopard if you want your automatic upgrade and mac support to still work. So, you need to buy BOTH the Leopard and Snow Leopard to have snow Leopard. Also, I found Snow Leopard for less that $20. So, I'm saving someone close to $100 by allowing them to buy that upgrade rather than the Snow Leopard Box Set, which runs at over $100.

Please God Read! I don't care about all of your opinions!

So what would be a suitable alternative for this Macbook? Let's say if I wanted to spend 400,000-500,000 on computer. I'm kinda interested in this computer as it has a 13 inch screen. What else could I get in Korea?

Honestly if I were you I'd go a little bit above your 500,000 price range and get a quad-core processor. You may get less memory or something but it's not that bad of a trade off considering memory is easy to upgrade.

Also, idk why "stansfu" said it had 802.11n wireless like it is a big deal, all computers come with that (hell, the macbook I'm selling has 802.11n).

This computer has 2 gigs of ram, 802.11n, Core i3 Quad core processor, 500gb hard drive, LED HD screen. Then again it's a 14", but you will find better internals in a 14" for a comparable price. I have a feeling you could buy this laptop for around 500,000 too, just not on gmarket.

Oh and btw... you don't have to sanitize my keyboard "stansfu", and that's an immature comment. Although good job putting "WARRANTY", "KEYBOARD", and "Old MAC" in caps, you look so darn cool when you do that!

I'm quoting "Jackthirsty" the 13'inch because he specifically asked for a 13'inch laptop. In addition, the 13'inch does have a dedicated 512MB Video Memory that is far more SUPERIOR than your MACBook considering people usually expect the other way around (simple, don't get an discontinued Apple).
Plus 1 more BENEFIT for JACKTHIRSTY - It's FREE SHIPPING. Usually to your doorstep in less than 2days (that's from my prior experience.)

Exclamation "JoeOrlando" U didn't mention about the WIRELESS G/N in ur 1st post so i assume it's the G that comes with your MAcBook. Since only LATE 2006 Model has 802.11N support (check the link below for Mac Spec . But that still THUMB DOWN for ur MACBook...

Please don't reply to my post because it only makes me want to point out more reason not to pick the Dinasaur MACBook...

I think it might be a little over the fence to ask OP not to reply to your replies to his OP... Rolling Eyes ...it's his thread after all...

Ummm.... sure.... that would be a good point if this wasn't a late 2006 macbook. All it needs is a firmware update in order for the wireless N to work, as the link you posted states.

Nice try? Idk... I still haven't said anything false or misleading and yet all you and other people can do is make it seem like this isn't worth the money or like I'm trying to scam everyone.

And yeah ^ This is kinda my FS thread, so I'll reply to whatever I want however I want.

I'm learning a lot about computers and prices with this kind of threads.
Well, just a thought wit no intention to offend: common sense says if you see somebody is reposting everywhere because can't sell a laptop, this probably means buyers know it is overpriced, no matter your points to ask such amount. Electronics world: I always buy electronics (including Ipods and Imacs) but they lose value so quickly. Apple is releasing new Macs in June, that will make current old products even harder to sell. I have old Imac I will not sell because I know I will not get the money I wish so I prefer to leave it at home. I wish both buyers and sellers could understand this. I said before, I'm learning, sorry if I miss something. Peace in the world!

Stansfu & Joe Orlando,

why are you putting up links to shitty korean no name computers? I had a look at your links. If you want to be cheap and cheerful do it. Don't try to push it in others' faces.

Can those no names computers compare with MacBook? No. The specs may be good but what about the quality of the build/materials used? Can you explain that? If not, don't come on here to promote korean cheap and cheerful (that includes Samsung and LG). Don't be fooled by the slick packaging of korean cheap and cheerful products. Trust, it's happened to me.

Me, I was disappointed with Apple so when mine dies or I get rid off it I'm going to buy a Toshiba or Sony. You pay a little bit more for them but Japanese products do not compromise quality.

Exactly the point. Apple is GOOD on LOOKs but SHORT on LIFE SPAN which i consider the BUILT QUALITY is JUST as SHITTY..
Apple Motherboard is well known to die as soon as the warranty is expired (especially for hardcore laptop users) and the DVDrom in the 2006/2007 generation is a pain in the ass...cost of repair is a NEW PC LAPTOP.

I could have quoted other used computers at a reasonable price but at least the NEW KOREAN Laptop has warranty and most hardwares are identical in terms of CHIPS/Memories/CPU you find in Toshiba/Sony/Asus except the MOTHERBOARD is the low end of TOSHIBA or copy of "EMACHINE" aka"AcER" but they just branded it under a different name. At least they do last and much longer then a 5years old MACbook (but SIZE may be an issue). The casing is big and that is also the reason why the quoted laptops ventilate very well (have lots of AIR-vents) for heat to flow out. I choose the most cost effective approach. It's also LOOKs good on PAPER "specification".

It's cheap because its made locally so less TRANSPORT COST plus IMPORT TAX.
Every LAPTOP brands have their issues because they don't spent too much time doing the Quality Control like they used to due to cost cutting to produce cheaper laptops in the market. SONY/Toshiba are not much better, it depends on which CLASS of LAPTOP you buy from them.. for the same SPECiFCATION, i know toshiba has 3 differents classes of LAPTOP to distinguish their quality and design. Sony may only have 2 but i could be wrong.

Let's face it, all companies subcontract their production. SONY/TOSHIBA/ASUS/KoreanBrands/APPLE/etc... they are all made in CHINA/TAIWAN/KOrea/Malaysia and soon INDIA will be the new rival country..

I have a late 2007 MacBook. The motherboard hasn't died. The only reason I'm pissed at Apple is because the battery died after 12 months and the MagSafe Adapter died after 18 months. I didn't have to pay for the new battery as it was still under warranty but I had to pay around $100 for the MagSafe Adapter. I feel like they design them purposely to break down after a specific amount of time.

People already pay more for Apple products. For them to break down so easily is too much. Apple used to be looked at as the alternative to the evil Microsoft. I'm not so sure.

When I pay money I pay for reliability and performance. I buy only Japanese goods (everything) because I'm guaranteed quality. I've bought some of these korean cheap and cheerful brands like Samsung and LG and I've been disappointed because they market their shit as "global standard" but there has always problems.

I don't really like any Apple products or their fanboys, but far more annoying are the retards who come on here pointing out that you can buy some crappy no-name netbook (PANTUM? Really?) cheaper or that this computer would be $100 less in the US.

Trolls can be useful now and again here, but unless you can find this model of Macbook selling cheaper, in Korea, in similar condition, you're wasting your time. You're also wasting the time of people who click the link wanting to buy a Macbook. Chances are that someone clicking this link doesn't want to buy a brand-new Pantum netbook so why you'd go off searching Gmarket to include that link is beyond me.

Most of the time these idiots can't even use proper English either, which, yes, is a bit snobby and pedantic of me to comment on, but if you want your opinion to be taken seriously, learn the difference between 'they're' and 'their' and 'you're' and 'your'. There's also a preview function and spellcheck built in to the forum...the mind boggles.

OP, go post on Craigslist and good luck with your sale.
