Battlefield 3 is coming out soon and there is no way my current computer will run it. So, I guess it is time to get a new one. I don't need a new monitor. Here are my questions:
-what should I be aiming at for half a million?
-what specs does a basic gaming computer have these days?
Some new information just in. Here are the estimated specs I'll need:
Minimum System Requirements
Processor: Dual Core
Memory: 2 GB
Hard Drive: 15 GB for Digital Version, 10 GB for Disc Version
Video Memory: 256 MB
Sound Card: DirectX Compatible
DirectX: 10
Keyboard and Mouse
DVD Rom Drive
Recommended System Requirements
Processor: Quadcore Processor
Memory: 4 GB
Hard Drive: 15 GB for Digital Version, 10 GB for Disc Version
Video Memory: 512 MB
Sound Card: DirectX Compatible
DirectX: 11
Keyboard and Mouse
DVD Rom Drive |

Just try to get a quad-core CPU which has a stock speed of 2.9ghz or more, 4GB of 1333mhz RAM, and a video card worth around 150,000 (I recommend any Radeon HD5770) which has 1GB of video memory.
You could go to Sunin-Plaza in Yongsan and see what they'll build you based around the three requirements above. |

Minus the monitor, it should be possible to meet the recommended requirements. You'd probably have to skimp on things like case and power supply though. And I'm hardly an expert.
Try plopping, or getting someone to help you plop in your specs to danawa and see what comes up. |
