Hi Everyone,

I have an interview coming up with Footprints Recruiting for some positions in Oman. Has anyone here been interviewed by them? I'm wondering what type of questions they ask.

Any pointers would be greatly appreciated. Smile

I think I got rejected by Footprints after an interview I had with them a few years ago (their loss, though, because I ended up getting a much better job).

You *MUST* act very enthusiastic and bubbly. If it's for kids, say that you love kids. Don't express any sort of reservations about the culture or the potential job during the interview.

As a recruiting organization, they seem to have their s*** together. But their standards for selecting successful applicants for hagwons are like those of any other Korean recruiter.

I was interviewed by them and got approved instantly. I later turned down their services and found a job on my own (which I would recommend doing btw).

As the previous poster said you should be (or at least pretend to be) bubbly, fresh, excited, enthusiastic, passionate about teaching, filled with a love of kids and learning about other cultures, etc. I don't remember all the wording of the questions specifically, but mine were something along the lines of:

1) Why did you choose to find a job in Korea?

2) Why do you want to teach?

3) What was you best moment teaching/training/helping another individual, and how did it make you feel?

4) What was you worst moment teaching/training/helping another individual, and how did it make you feel?

That was it basically. I just talked the guy's ear off after each question and made him laugh.

You'll need to give them the impression that you will finish your one year contract. A good deal of their questions will be geared towards that.

FYI, they have an ID on here and will read your post.

My advice is that if you are a satan worshipper, you best not tell them that.
