It really sucks that the nicest weather of the year is being somewhat ruined by this.....Soon everyone will be moaning about humidity and mosquitoes. Me included. Four seasons....pffftttt Yeah - Cold, Yellow Dust, Humidity, and Rain.

Those are the exact four seasons, lol, thanks for the laugh. Hope you folks are feeling better soon.

Yes I can taste in in my mouth too. I end up coughing up huge chunks of yellow phlegm and it tastes salty in my mouth.

I have has a sore throat and been coughing in fits for about a week so it is hard to know which is which but I believe that my sore throat and cough were caused in part by the yellow dust.

Every time I cough some gunk comes up. It is not like a cough back home where you juyst make a noise and spray someone with a little spit. This is hugh amounts of crap and then when I have finished I feel as if nothing happenend and feel great. Then an hour later....

Do you guys not have air conditioning? Or are you doing wind sprints outside or something?

I barely notice the dust, but then again the most I'm outside every day is the 5 minute walk to work or the subway.

I wish my office air conditioner was not so old. It does not clean the air just cools it. So the dust comes in.

At home I don't have an air purifier but I plan to get one.

It is my first time to experience this dust so my clean lungs might just be reacting to it badly the first time.

I can almost taste it in my mouth. It's a bit of a chemical taste, not quite salty, but almost. It's hard to describe, but I can only taste it in my mouth when there's the yellow dust...

Anyone else able to taste it?

I've never been able to taste it but when I wore glasses, (before my Lasik), I would get sand in my glasses. It can get that bad.

My advice is watch both the KMA site and the US Military site. If it even looks like the possibility there are elevated levels, wear a mask. Yes, you will look ridiculous, but you won't get sick.

anyone know of current sites that monitor the yellow dust levels in korea? the kma website doesn't have the option to choose seoul for monitoring the yellow dust levels unless you use the table option. the us army site used to have a good site on yellow dust levels but it seems that they are not updating it anymore....

I always use this page from the KMA website; it's good enough for me:

I downloaded a yellow dust app on my Android phone. It will alert me anytime the yellow dust level goes above a certain point.

So, who's feeling bad because of this stuff? I've been coughing the last few days, feel tired, and my throat and lungs are all plugged up with phlegm. Any good tips on feeling better?

chinese people drink more tea than they usually do (they usually drink tons = default)

but again, nothing scientifically proven
