|
Hi,
I am applying to teach in Korea. I am very new to this entire process. I have 3 agencies that want to work with me: Gone2Korea, Worknplay, and Teach away. I don't know which agency is best to work for. If you have any comments, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks. |

Recruiters get paid for placing applicants, not by you.
With this in mind you should apply to any and every recruiting agency you can find, as well as applying for privately advertised jobs.
You work for you.
The ONLY thing a recruiter can do for you that is worth ANYTHING is getting you a job that you want. You're not being a 'traitor' by using more than one recruiter, you're being pragmatic.
The only exception being certain public school jobs which disqualify your application if they receive applications from more than one source.
In general, use as many recruiters as will listen to you and apply to as many privately advertised jobs as appeal to you. It's the surest way to get a job you might be happy with. |

Use as many recruiters as possible. You're just a number to them. If you end up sitting on your hands waiting for them to call and find you a job you're not doing it right. Contact 50 recruiters and tell them what kind of job you want. Chances are one of them will have it. To limit yourself to only 1 or 3 is a bad idea. |

I would use a recruiter that screen their schools - so that the recruiter actually knows something about the school they're sending you to. The ones you picked seem fine - I remember reading good things about them when I was doing my research and I almost used Gone2Korea myself. |
