I can't seem to ever spot him unless I'm out with my Korean girlfriend.
Have you ever been having a conversation walking down a busy corridor with your girlfriend, and happen to be passing by a Korean guy (usually his girlfriend is with him) and say an easy, recognizable word like, "really?!" or "OK!" and then have him mock you as he walks by--presumably to look cool in front of his girl?
Guys don't let him get away with it, call him out on it and shut that nonsense down. I made a guy regret doing it to me tonight, and I'm sure he'll think twice the next time he tries to mock another foreigner.
If that's the only way he can express his jealous anger that I'm with one of "his" women, then I truly feel sorry for him. Scum. |

Some Koreans use words like "really" anyway.
It's quite common to drop English words into conversation amongst people who have some knowledge of English.
If you hang out with a bunch of French speaking English speakers, you'll hear them drop French into the conversation. Especially if a genuine surrender-monkey walks across the room.
You might be right, the guy might be a dick. But quite possibly not. He might just be cool =)
The times I've been offended have been when I've been walking with a Korean lass and a random guy has said "You're a *beep*, you're a foreigner's *beep*". THAT'S offensive.
A random English comment.. not so much.. |

Well it wasn't as much making him regret it (though I bet he did) as calling him out and taking it to a place he did not want to take it if he responded back.
the word I said was "ok" when my gf and I were minding our own business. And as he was wallking past he said, "OK! OK!" in a mocking kind of voice. So I turned around and said OK! 야! I said it pretty loud because my voice echoed off the wall. He kept on walking and he nor his girlfriend turned back around.
My girlfriend didn't want me to say it, and she said his girlfriend must have been embarrassed for her boyfriend, but I explained that stuff doesn't fly with me. |

He said this to you in English? Lol I can't keep quiet about this sort of stuff. I can't have people treating me and my girl like trash on the streets. I'm bound to get in a fight and get kicked out of this country. |

Koreans, for the most part, keep the tone down in public and so should you. This is probably why you got the interference. |
