I'm moving to Korea soon and need to ship at least two pretty heavy boxes of books and papers. Is it possible to get them from the USA to Seoul in, say, 2-3 weeks without spending a huge amount of money? I've been to the USPS website and they just seem to have options for their preset envelopes and small boxes. What I have to send doesn't fit in those rectangular things you see at USPS and FedEx.
Thanks! |

| Via USPS, I believe that once you hit 4 lbs (not absolutely sure about the number) they require that you send it priority. Priority usually gets here in about 10 days, give or take a few. Depending on how heavy your stuff is, it may get pretty expensive. I don't know of any cheaper ways to get stuff here. UPS and Fed-Ex are, in my experience, even more expensive. |

| I haven't tried this in awhile, but ask about book rate... used to be that books & papers & stuff got a cheaper rate. |

Do you really need these books and papers?
I'm only asking because everytime I've had something sent to me I've been charged so much by Customs and/or the Shipping Company who wanna make a fast buck off Johnny Foreigner (300,000 "warehouse fee" anyone??). |
