So. . . I already had an interview with the school, and the next day, I received a contract & application. (Is this normal?) In the application, it asked for my college transcript.

So, I went ahead and sent them in. . . The only thing is that my Grade Point Average at the University was 3.37. And I failed a couple of classes. How do you think this will affect my opportunity to teaching at the school?

I repeated one of the classes (History of an English Language), and received an C+. However, I did not repeat Jazz. So, I have those ugly marks on my transcripts . . . and was wondering if anybody had any experience with this sort of thing.

Should I point this out to my recuiter or just wait and see what the school says?

How did you do in basketweaving? I think most people teaching in Korea had a grade point average equal to how many millions of won they get in monthly salary, so I wouldn't worry about it.

GPA doesn't matter. Transcripts just confirm that you didn't just print off your degree last night on your printer.

My GPA was 2.07 and I'm not sweating it, so you definitely shouldn't.

You do realize the highest gpa you can have is a 4.0? So a 3.37 is pretty good. Not great, but better than most ppl's imo.

I really don't think it'll matter. I do think that a good GPA can help you, but I doubt a bad GPA will really hurt you much. (Not to mention that I think your GPA is just fine!)

I guess I was wondering if the interviewers and schools pick through the transcripts with a fine toothed comb. . .

They don't look at the transcripts? Well that would be a huge relief on my end if that is true.

No they do. Do they know your school? Or maybe out of curiosity or to differentiate one guy from the next. PS actually told me that my gpa at my uni was a deciding factor. But that year was really competitive.

Your school must have some ridiculous grade inflation if 3.37 is something you need to worry about. That would've been above average in about 80% of my university classes. I have just below a 3.3 and that's a bit better than a lot of my friends got.
