I want to make meatballs. I didn't see any at Emart, did I miss it or what? Anyone know a place to get this?

Undoubtedly someone is going to answer in the always annoying "Costco". I always found it at HomePlus, but beware of sticker shock, it is more expensive.

They have it at my local EMart and Lotte Mart, but generally I go to High Street Market in Itaewon and load up, as it's only 4,500/500 g or 8,000/1 k there, about half the price of what you'll pay at one of the chain grocery stores (can't speak to butcher shops).

As an alternative, ground pork works really well for meatballs, and tends to cost about half as much as beef here.

Ask a coworker if you have a HomePlus near you and just hop in a cab and say Home-a Plus-a. That is if you're not near Itaewon.
The ground pork idea is a good one too. I usually mix beef and pork to make meatballs.

double check your emart, i've gotten ground beef there several times.

I can't think of any grocery store I've been to that didn't have ground beef. You might have to ask the people working behind the meat counter in case they don't have any in the shelves. One time I went to a butcher and asked for ground meat. He made it from a whole piece of meat, but to my surprise he made it with just a knife instead of a mincer. I was impressed, and it tasted good.

If you want to save money, buy 50% or 100% minced pork meat instead. A bit less flavour but a lot cheaper. You can make up for the lack of flavour by adding more spices, and afterwards you may even feel like a big corporation saving money by using cheap ingredients and making up for it with additives.

I've found the ground beef is very fatty from Costco. Or something is different about it. It's just not as good as from your regular Home Plus / Emart.

I've never not seen ground beef at any super market. You must have missed it, or like the other posters have said, they were out of it and you have to ask for it.
