Hey Im coming to Seoul in 10days and hate the thought of missing the NRL. Any suggestions? Do you download it from bigpond, watch it at pubs? I wouldn't mind paying for satilite if its not too expensive and they play the games live. |

Bigpond is geo blocked.
I haven't missed league enough (waiting for Parramatta to come good) to look for alternatives but I use my2p to watch the A league.
You would probably get more success posting on league unlimited because there will be hardcore fans who would be more attuned to the streaming scene.
Edit: Seems some sort of pay per view service is coming

I would think you have to leave most of that behind you. I have been here 6 weeks now and have failed to see any Australian loved sport even on tv let alone NRL. I am located in Bundang and finish work late so that could be the problem. Where are you going to be living in? I think you should be prepared to watch a new favourite sport of mine which is hockey or baseball can be ok. Fun to watch and good atmosphere in the pubs here with plenty of friendly Americans and Canadians cheering their teams on in western style bars around the place. |

A few things you can do.
First try out the link below and click on the "Rugby" tab. It'll give you a run down on what's on and when. I usually get a stream, but it sometimes lags.
http://www.myp2p.eu/index.php?part=sports
Second just tune to ABC Grandstand, where you will find links to live streaming audio Rugby League.
Third, you will need to change the Proxy settings on your computer in the ROK to Australian.
The link I gave above in pretty good, especially for cricket and Union Internationals. League can be hit and miss, except for origin, which was streaming well last year.
C'mon the Maroons! FIVE MORE YEARS!

I've seen the international cricket matches shown a bunch of times in Sam Ryans and/or Scrooge's......same with the rugby but usually for the big events only. Full of Aussies/NZ'ers/Saffas/Brits at those times.
Can't help you for the domestic stuff but MyP2p/Sopcast are good bets (as usually the games at the pubs are shown through them anyway) |

These days there are significant on-line resources available for viewing Aussie and Kiwi sport. Actually with those resources combined with Korea's cheap and unlimited Internet I'm able to watch a lot more games in Korea than I ever could in Australia.
For live sport I recommend:
Along with myp2p you can catch games on www.leaguetv.net
Also this site http://etv.donga.com/foreign_view.php?idxno=200507180000545 has a 24hr stream of Australia Network who cover a lot of live or slightly delayed AFL games.
For capped versions of the games the very best place to go is http://acrossthetasman.com/register.php?. This site has high quality caps (often 720p/1080p) of all NRL and Super 14 games normally within hours of them being played. For instance for the Friday night footy games I'm usually able to download and watch the games by Saturday lunch time. It also has a bunch of other things like A-league games, some cricket and boxing etc.
For caps of AFL games then http://aus.sierules.com/ is the site to go to. Also has HQ caps of all the AFL games withing hours of them being played. I've got invites for this site if its locked.
Hope this helps. |

Yes I agree with both MyP2P and bet365 as being good.
I've watched NPC, Super games, tests and league for the last few years.
On a side note I've just joines bet365, the HD is awesome and theres no lag, but I can't get the screen to go fullsize. I'm not the most computer literate person out there for sure. Any assistance would be appreciated.
I'm adding this page to my favorites, cheers... You can never have enough streaming options |
