Can anyone tell me the cost of subway transit from the airport to Osaka proper? I need to do a visa run.
Also, I will be there for five days and need cheap things to do. I am not into temples or castles.
Thanks,

Slow train or fast one? 800 yen and 1600 yen (if my memory serves me correctly).
5 days for a visa run? It only takes 2 (overnight service).
Cheap things to do and not into castles, walk till you drop and lots of "eye shopping".

The boss booked me to go during the a Japanesse holiday without knowing it. I had planned on leaving on a Sunday and returning on the Tuesday but the consulate is open Monday then closes again until Friday. The flight cost is unrefundable so I have an extended trip.
And that is 'the rest of the story.' Well, some of it. ^^
Thanks, ttompatz. |

just go to hostelworld.com and get one of those ghetto hotels for $20...plenty of them. You can sit around that area and drink beer out of vending machines...
Kansai is a beautiful area though (not the cheap hotel area though)...so much to offer, some beautiful cities in the area, and great nightlife as well. But, if you just want to do cheap things....that option does exist.
If you go to that website, you'll see about 30 hotels around the $20 range...any of them will take you to that ghetto area. There are things to walk around there as well, all kind of ghetto but maybe somewhat interesting, on some level.
Enjoy. |

As a former resident of Osaka, I miss it very much. |
