| Silly question, but do I get my pension when I'm DONE with Korea or when I'm done with a job? I'm thinking about transferring schools (PS to PS) and was wondering how this would work? It is within the same umbrella (EPIK). |

You have to show them your one-way plane ticket out of the country, your passport, your ark card, and your bank book. If you want the money deposited into your bank back home, be sure to have your bank's address, phone number, and routing number along with your account number.
If you aren't leaving the country, or are in posession of a round-trip ticket, sorry about your luck, you will have to get your money later. |

I don't see how a round-trip proves you will continue working. You could return on a tourist visa. In this case, you aren't supposed to teach (legally).
If you are allowed to keep your money in a Korean account, then you could come back to Korea and spend that money however you want.
There's nothing stopping people from returning to Korea after they go to their home country or simply visit another foreign country. |

You get your pension when you are done with Korea. |

You get your pension when you are done with Korea. |
That's not true. I got pension in April 2010. I went back to Korea on a tourist visa in July. I wasn't "done" with Korea, and I am still not done.
If you leave Korea you can collect on it and then return. |

You are supposed to collect pension when you are done. Yes you can leave Korea, collect it and come back...but that is not what the poster above was asking. He wants to transfer schools. |

I have a F2 visa and a round trip ticket booked for Hong Kong in June. I will only be gone for a 3 day weekend. When I come back, I will continue at my current school paying into my pension.
But..... I really want to collect my pension  can this be done? I asked here before, and got a "no". However, I was recently reading on AFEK and saw that it could be done. I asked on there, but didn't get a clear response, and I didn't want to spam.
