Selling a brand new Galaxy GTX 480, in box and unopened!

Super fast card (arguably second fastest single GPU card after the GTX 580), with 1.5gb of ram and DirectX 11 support! (You know you've been wanting a new card for Crysis 2! ^_~ ) Much superior to the GTX 560 which is currently selling for the same price.

Price is a significant discount off of current retail (~370k won and up). I got the card after RMAing a GTX 295, but had already installed a GTX 570 and now don't need the 480. When I picked up the card, I was told that it is brand new (not refurbished), and warrantied.

Here's a link to the product page on Danawa (Note that 'average' price is actually 447k):
http://blog.danawa.com/prod/?prod_c=1058539&cate_c1=861&cate_c2=876&cate_c3=972&cate_c4=

And here's a Guru3d review of the card showing where it currently stands:
http://www.guru3d.com/article/geforce-gtx-570-review/11
(I know it's a review for the 570, but the 480 is also included in the results.)

In short: awesome deal on a brand new, top flight graphics card!

I bet that 480 is now tied to your old card as in terms of warranty via serial number. Hence when your original cards warranty is expires so does the 480s. Really, standard practice...
So u should lower that price since winter is over and whomever buys this card is gonna have one toasty PC. Plus warranty not good for more than original cards.
250 is a good price.

i think 330 is a fair price for that card. i have one and its amazing. the card still retails for like 450+ and as for heat issues just crank up the fan using msi afterburner. as for power its still the second best card out right now (single gpu) very similar to 570

Yes, it's an amazing card, but as the OP says this particular new one with a full warranty starts at 370k. It all depends on how much warranty is really left.

Since the card [GTX295] came out in 2008; not much warranty leftSO I WOULD HAVE TO SAY ITS NOT WORTH MUCH LESS THAN I SPECULATED EARLIER.
SOME THINGS I WOULD SPEND 330,000 WON WITHOUT A WARRANTY:

STILL THINKING DARN IT....

I was told at the Unitech service center (Unitech is the importer for Galaxy graphics cards and handles A/S claims) that the card was warrantied and would be replaced if there were any problems with it. The technician did not specifically indicate the period of the warranty, but I'm assuming that if you took the card in, the following would apply (from the Unitech website):

품질보증기간: 제품 품질 보증기간(무상처리)은 구입일자를 원칙으로 하며, 구입증빙내역(수기 영수증 제외)으로 적용합니다. 만약 구입 증빙 내역이 없는 경우는 제조일로 부터 1년 또는 2년,3년이 적용됩니다.

Basically, for video cards imported through Unitech which are brought in without a receipt, the warranty period is 2 years from the date of manufacture. Given that the GTX 480 was released in March of 2010, there should be at least 11 months remaining on the warranty.

If there's a problem with it when you open it, I'll go with you to the service center in Yongsan to make sure it's taken care of.

As for cooling, as long as you're not over-clocking and have a well-ventilated case, there shouldn't be any issues. (Obviously.)

If the card were *used* 250k might be a reasonable price.

Also, I'm located on the south part of line number 2 ('the dark green line') in Seoul. I will meet a buyer in the city, but I will not ship elsewhere because of the possibility of scams.

Always,
Eugene

Haven't gotten a buyer yet, so I'm lowering asking price to 300k.

Lowering the price another 10k to 290k. Make an offer, and if I don't get a buyer at the asking price, I'll consider it.

I thought about it but 480s are too damn hot. No warranty also scares me.

I'll stick with my MSI twinfrozr 560ti. OCs higher than a 570.

One more thing... the 560ti trades punches with the 470 at its stock clocks and spanks it when overclocked. Im sure with the 470 overclocked the story will remain the same. Basically, the 560ti is about as fast as a 470, stock or overclocked.

Still hasn't sold, and I'd really like to get rid of it so lowering the price another 20k to 250k. This is now a ridiculous discount off the new price for a piece of brand new hardware.

Might also point out that while the last poster rather confusingly compared the selling price to that of a GTX 560 (which does perform rather similarly with a *470*)--the 480 is at least 20% faster. At any rate, the price is now lower than that of a 560 even.

Also, as was pointed out on the nvidia blog, the card runs a bit hot--but it was designed to run that way. Link: http://blogs.nvidia.com/2010/03/gtx-480-a-passion-for-the-future-of-pc-gaming/

(And, as pointed out previously, I was guaranteed that the card would be exchanged if there is a problem.)
