I've realized that I've picked up a few nasty habits from this forum. Now, while I've toned it down a great deal in recent months, sometimes these rants come out in other places, such as Facebook. Usually it's funny, but today I just got angry with a near-family friend. I mean, I was right and she did deserve it, and my little sister promptly unfriended and blocked the offender in agreement, and we both notified our mom, but a couple of years ago I'd have just laughed it off (but still have told my mom because she deserves to know when someone divulges personal information).

Here's my pledge: I'm going to play nice for the next 30 days. Only nice things from NYC_Gal 2.0 starting now. If not, I need to put a chun won in the pot. Either I tone it down, or punch someone in the face metaphorically and end up with pizza money. Sound about right?

Anyway, to those I may have offended in the past, let's wipe the slate clean. I'll be nice (or try). <<offers olive branch>>

Play nice.
Razz

Couldn't resist that one! Sadly, I've seen Facebook bickering that puts this site to shame.

My mom's awesome, and if someone talks shiz about her, she should know not to trust such a person. I'd expect the same courtesy from her. My little sister was in full agreement, as I'd gone to her for an opinion.

My puppy is going nuts at the moment, so please forgive any typos if I've missed them. He's tryingto get my attention. I wouldn't be up so early if it weren't for him.

No. She's a female. Different standard.

LOL very true. Also, my mom and I are really close. She actually thought that it was funny, but was happy that I'd told her.

So, day 1 of being only nice: How are you fine people this lovely morning? My crazy puppy woke me up at 6.

Sometimes I think that the Internet is how everyone would be if there were no potential for sex or physical violence in everyday life.

On the other hand, I think the problems only really begin when a site gets a lot of members-- usually the smaller forums are nicer.

oooh very level-headed response. I like his approach, though.

How about this thread be us trying to get you to rage? It can be a sort of test of your newfound resolve.

I'll start:

Seems like quite a short period between breaking up with your fiance and suddenly becoming married to your friend(at least you call him your husband now). Some behind the scenes action prompt this sudden turnaround?
