|

I've been trying to find the cheapest place in order to buy a Canon d60 dSLR and a lot of websites recommended Namdaemun
Due to the earthquake/tsunami in Japan however, it seems like Canon Korea doesn't send any new cameras to the stores in Namdaemun area, so they have resorted to going abroad themselves and importing Japanese version of that camera and selling it slightly cheaper
What I want to find out is if you guys think it's safe to buy a Japanese version of a camera in Korea and if someone's done so before?
The price difference is quite dramatic...1.5 mil for Korean edition and 1.1mil for Japanese and basically the way they explained it to me is it's cheaper because there are no import taxes involved and unfortunately no Korean warranty, but they do have a Japanese warranty card inside..
Any opinions/advice? |

Yes. They're grey market. If you can live without the warranty, get it. But if you'd feel better with the warranty, pay for it. |
