Be warned if you live near the DMZ.
Although minimal, the number of malaria cases has been increasing over the past several years. The wet summer months are sure to be prime breeding periods for mosquitoes.
A few cases of Japanese encephalitis are also reported across the peninsula but I don't have the numbers on those.
This article is from last summer and meanwhile the new mosquito season is up on us.
