To cut a long story short my director is not paying my severance. I have been to the labor board and they called him and said he should pay me but he still refuses.

I have been told that the next step is to file a claim... this can be done 14 days after end of contract which is fine as I finished on 17th and we leave Korea on 1st June.

The problem is the labor board says I need to be in the country during the investigation - is this correct ?

It seems my case is clear but I have to remain in the country without a job/somewhere to live in order to claim this money ???

Is there a way I can make a claim before leaving ? How much would a lawyer charge if that is what's needed ? Would it be a fee or a % ?

cheers
