The self-righteous tone of this thread is embarrassing. What give you people the right to judge others like that? I don't walk down the street drinking a beer, nor do I dress with my underpants showing but if I wanted to, what fecking business is it of yours?
Have a word with yourself before you talk to other people. Tool.

...you get your panties in a twist over exposed ass cheeks, white men drinking beer in the afternoon, popping gum? Two words for you:

LIGHTEN UP.

I'll have to object to minding my business on the popping gum thing. Try listening to that on a long bus ride.

Eventually I'm going to put this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MnT6QAWlY3s on my phone and play it for the gum chewers while pointing at them and indicating "same-same".

Man, I hate people like that. I can guarantee that if someone said something to me instead of minding their own business, I would tell them to eff off. I guess maybe you feel a little safer doing it Korea. Seriously, OP, do you do such things back home? Because if you did this in some of the cities that I've lived in, you'd be in some serious trouble.

Ajumma gum-popping is one of the most common, disgusting habits in Korea. If you've experienced this on a plane, or on a train, on or a bus ride, then you know how inconsiderate and rude it is.

As for foreigners showing their bum or carrying a Cass, let it be.

So you're not going to make a substantive offense against showing one's bum or carrying a Cass on the street (where you can remove yourself), or a substantive defense of smacking gum in a closed location (where you are trapped). Instead you're going to play the culture card?

I actually find all of these behaviors to be annoying to a degree depending on when and where they happen.

I did say earlier in the thread that I would not comment on these behaviors or call out people who engaged in them because I found that to be useless.

What you said, sounded very much like a double standard where one behavior by fellow expats is "leave em alone" and the other by a Korean is rude. It basically read like "that ajuma should be told what she is doing is rude and disgusting but those foreigners should be left alone". If that was not your intent and I missundarstood you, you have my apologies.

Personally, I leave em all alone and mind my own business unless its right in my face and directed at me. There really is very little that can be done against idiocy right?
