The housing is AWFUL. Cramped, no gas (a hotplate to cook IF you're lucky). Having seen housing other jobs get it's an absolute insult the living conditions they put you in. However the couple apartments (if you want to call it that) are doable I've heard. There aren't any groceries stores nearby without walking 20 minutes which is a huge bummer. You do get free AC in the summer which is nice, but winters are cold there since many rooms have broken heaters which they won't give a **** to replace if you complain. Many apartments get heavy mold in the summer, so be prepared to buy a jug of bleach to wipe away that lovely mold every day.

You won't get weekends off. You'll get two days off a week. So one week you'll get Monday and Friday off, the next you'll get Wednesday and Sunday off, etc.

You won't work morning shifts even if you think you're going to. They'll put you on night shifts so be ready to do both.

You have to work holidays while everyone else is enjoying their day off.

Aside from that the work itself isn't bad. You can do much better. But if it's just a summer gig and not a year contract, I'd say it's worth it.

Do you ever get two days off in a row, for example Monday and Tuesday off?

You'd have to be a complete idiot to work at an English Village. Like Wonderland, they are bad news. With all the freaking jobs in Korea, why on earth would you even consider such a place? Mindboggling.

Well, I'm only looking for summer employment. These English Village places really seem like the only option for that. But if I were doing a one year stint, I would definitely look else where.
