Fantastic, then use the link and buy yourself one.

For anyone else who isn't here to gripe and waste time - my ad says obo (OR BEST OFFER). If you find it cheaper - make an offer. Simple.

And I just realised that someone said that I was told the EXACT same thing on Craigslist.

1. Craigslist isn't a forum, how would someone post a comment to my ad?
2. All I've ever received in terms of responses on Craigslist is offers, not complaints. Since if people don't want to buy - they don't buy, they don't waste time speaking trash to the seller.

The price came from checking Gmarket for systems and making mine slightly cheaper (they sell from 410 000 - 499 000). Yes, definitely a master plan to do people in. If you find a cheaper price and want me to beat it then by all means, otherwise go for links like the one posted (has anyone actually tried using that 355 offer? It links to something more expensive).

And sorry Missihippi, only serious offers Smile This system is brand new. If you keep an eye out on craigslist you might find an older second hand model for that price, I've seen them pop up from time to time.

well considering people in china have playstation owners credit card numbers and the lack of online play (due to aforementioned credit card problem) i thought that was a reasonable offer Twisted Evil

Wow captain anal cant stand that people would comment and prevent him from ripping people off. well let me tell you a few things

1. You can post a reply by simply posting on the craigslist page and using "RE:" (whatever the item is) so you can speak your input.

2. That link goes to different sites that sell the system. i checked them out and some do offer a slightly higher price BUT the hard drive is ALSO 160GB. which is larger than the one you are selling.

3. One can only wonder why you are selling a brand new playstation as well.

4. learn that by placing on a public forum, you are open to comments, questions, and concerns from others. take your whining elsewhere

To the English teachers moonlighting in consumer advocacy: chill.

The OP - as far as anyone knows - isn't trying to actively cheat buyers. Would I drop 390,000 on a PS3? Nope. But do I need the community blowing a gasket and trying to "warn-off" potential buyers? Double nope.

We're all adults here. We are, presumably, college educated. A vendible is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. Let's let folks decide what they want to pay without demonizing a seller as some kind of con artist.

Besides, he made it clear that he was open to offers.

Wow Chris, you have a lot of time on your hands. In the interests of being a good citizen I'd recommend 1. a girlfriend, 2. a good book or 3. a Playstation 3.

I find that the first one is the most helpful in terms of having something more important to focus on, but if you struggle with that the last two are easy to get hold of and can offer a distraction (I'm always willing to offer a good book recommendation - and obviously I can provide a PS3 if you make an offer).

Otherwise feel free to PM me if you ever need to chat with a real live person or want me to hook you up, I'm always willing. Lets get you away from the PC forums and focused on more important things, its good to have a network of friends. I will send you an invite or two to a party or social get together if you would like some help. Any time is good, no worries. Smile

PS. Thanks for that link - I'm actually looking for the best price point for these systems. I did actually think that no one sold them for under 400k over here, so now I can set a better price next time (yes, from time to time if I see a good deal on something I'll buy and sell it - its how some people make extra money).

And to everyone else: I'm happy with a 350 offer Ive received - so this on is sold! Feel free to PM if you want me to get hold of one in the future - I'm no pro seller, I can just get em from time to time so it might be a 4 week wait or so to get hold of one. Send me whatever price is fair (and serious) and Ill see what I can do! Regards Smile

You mean in the interest of being a dumb@$$ trying to crack jokes? ahh let me enlighten you, in the hopes that you gain some sort of intelligence from this.

it took all of 2 minutes to type what i said on my previous comment. so yeah thats so much time lol. im thinking more along the lines of you suggesting those things to yourself, rather than try and rip people off. I dislike douchebags like you who make it a habit of trying to rip others off. the whole "or best offer" thing is a classic attempt at trying to make the buyer think they are getting a good deal. and you "sold" it? really wow! ive seen numerous times people lie on this level as well. if you really did good for you.

As for your invites and PM? haha dont make me laugh, you're a joke, and all of your supposed comment/sarcasm is dully noted. but nice try at being an idiot savant, minus the savant part.
