I was looking online for some martini recipes and found a pretty good drink mixer site. For kicks I did a search to see if they had anything for soju, and came up with their lone soju entry: the Shocker. Seems like a nice summertime drink.(er,make that summertime one shot)

http://www.drinksmixer.com/drink1t5s606.html

Shocker recipe

1/2 oz Soju
1/2 oz Sprite soda
1 splash lemon juice

"Pour the Soju (Korean) first then layer with Sprite, then splash the lemon juice on top. Cover with a napkin, slam on table 2,1,1 then shoot it. Soju is unregulated so be careful."

The martini's that I was looking for and intend to try are the watermelon martini and the espresso martini.

Any other martini suggestions, or soju drinks?

I used to mix soju with orange juice or vita-500.

Now I just mix it with beer.

Here is a secret family recipe handed down through the ages by an anonymous Korean friend of mine.

1 parts soju
1 parts anything else non-alcoholic

Shake, but definitely don't stir.

It's actually pretty awful mixed with coke. But you're mostly right.

This is my favorite soju drink.

You need ice cubes, unflavored, preferably Finlandia (40%, 50% or 60%), Smirnoff or Mongolian Genghis Khan vodka. (Note: The Swedish Absolute isn't good for anything.)

Let the vodka of your choice chill in the freezer overnight while soju stays in the fridge. You can freeze the glasses as well, especially if they are made of stone. When the vodka is cold, pour 4-6cl in a short glass. Now, take the soju from the fridge and place it on the table next to the glass... and be happy that you don't have to drink that *beep* and ruin your vodka with ice cubes! Just drink the shot and enjoy the flavor and the burning sensation when it goes down your throat into your stomach.
