When i am using the text on photoshop there is fonts of Hangul, as well as chinese japanese and arabic. But when i try to use these fonts it just type english characters. How do I type in hangul, or anyother language using these fonts that apparently exist somewhere with the photoshop?

I dont think the answer is buying a Korean keyboard either, because that doesnt solve the problem of other fonts.

Can someone help me utilize these fonts in PS?

I laughed when I read the bolded part of the quote. Did you try connecting a Korean keyboard to your computer to find that out? Anyway, you need to enable Korean text input on your computer, then switch to Korean text input in order to type in Korean. Photoshop is like any other program in that regard. There are already threads about how to do this on this site, so use Google to find one and you'll be all set.

but will enabling Korean mean my whole computer will switch to Korean like the computers at work, or will it just allow me to type in Korean while the rest of the computer menus remain in English?

It seems like that would be a major hassle. I am trying to work on a project with multiple languages, so i don't want to switch my computer from English to Japanese to Russian to Hangul for every line i write.

All you have to do is add the Korean language to your Windows settings - it won't change anything except the language bar on your taskbar, and it'll allow you to type in hangul if you want to, or switch back to other characters.

Go to Control Panel -> Language Settings and install all the Korean options, it takes about 30 seconds.

Memorizing the location of the characters without a Korean keyboard will take longer, but it's doable.

Good luck!

edit: as an alternative, google translate has an in-browser Korean keyboard that you can use with your mouse. If you're only writing a few words, just write them in there and then transfer them to your editing software.

This is not possible though if you have Windows 7 (unless Ultimate).

Sure it is. Has nothing to do with that. The Win7 Ultimate feature is changing the entire OS (all popups, menus, options) to another language.

I'm pretty sure you can not do what they want with Windows 7: Home. I thought Ultimate was the only version that you could change the language?

To change the entire language of the OS..yes.
to enable multiple language inputs..no

Just goto the control panel
type languages in the search
choose
change keyboards or other input methods
click change keyboards on the next window
add whatever input type you want.
