No, just the smoking. The four mentioned above have no negative impact on my health. |
Ok I'll bite. Looks like its gonna be a very rare friday night at home tonight.
How about cars? Should they also be banned? They have a negative impact on the public's health. |
One can claim that anything and everything has a negative impact on health.
Smoking should be banned in all public places, and enforced, as well as screaming fire in a public theater.
Ban the stench! |

Cars acquire a task, what does smoking do? Right it helps people relax, something they can do away from others. |
Cars can be replaced - alternatives can be used. Why not use them? Right, it's too inconvenient. |
Preaching to the choir. I don't own a car or motorcycle here. I walk more often than riding buses or trains.
A law that should go into effect immediately should be no motorcycles or scooters on sidewalks. |

I agree.
Same here, I don't own a motor-vehicle. I walk when/where the distance is reasonable. Other times, I take the subway or a bus to avoid taking taxis when possible.
Nothing wrong with smokers taking their habits to a private location. |

I take my smoking to a private location when it's possible, and reasonable for me to do so. |

| I ride a bike, walk, and take the bus or subway. I only take taxis when necessary, which isn't often. I'm all for an alternative that doesn't pollute the air. |

Fair enough.
I don't have such a problem with persons who make an effort to consider nonsmokers. However, when I'm standing in line outside a movie theater, restaurant, or such, holding my young daughter in my arms, and someone lights a cigarette and blows smoke directly on us, I find it to be very inconsiderate. |

Korea has made an unbeliever of me.

I don't see a car parked in my apartment stairwell stinking up the stairwell to the elevator, I don't see cars all parked outside door ways to enter and exit buildings, having to walk into a smoke bombs and start choking to death.
I personally don't feel cars pollute my air like tobacco does. I don't sit right next to the exhaust pipe of a car.. who does!!! but standing anywhere near a smoker and you feel his smoke..
comparing cars to tobacco is stupid... |

| It's a start. Cigarettes are nasty, nasty things and should be outlawed. No reason for people to smoke. It is nasty, bad for your health and detrimental to the environment. It serves no good purpose. It should be eradicated. Search and destroy, I say. |

| A man smoking in the open air does no harm to other people. Maybe Seoul should look at Canada: No smoking within 3 meters of any business door. |

crazy talk....would you rather be in a room with a smoker or a running car? car fumes are way more lethal than cigarette smoke. How many cars in a metropolis like seoul? 6 million? every minute of every day u are breathing in the exhaust fumes of millions of cars. Doesnt matter where u are. It permeates the air of the whole city. |

like I said, you don't park your nose next to a car exhaust pipe do you?
cars don't fire out smoke from the exhaust .. you stand next to a guy smoking a cigarette and then stand next to a car see what is worse. |

A man smoking on his own in the open air does no harm to you. If you approach him to inhale the smoke, then you chose to do that. |

The 999 men smoking as they walk by me do me harm. |
