If your buying something brand new then expect a nice box, promo material in the box, manual, all included items stated in the manual, and a Korean warranty. If a Korean warranty is not included, then you might want to shop somewhere else unless your getting a great deal.
I think Olympus should have an English manual, while Nikon only has a Korean manual. But you can always get English PDF's off the companies website.
If your getting a new warranty I would not really worry too much. Also some companies quality check the shutters so there could be up to a 100 shutter counts depending on the company. Some companies reset the shutter count after checking, others do not.
As far as the E-300 goes you could do it Best Offer style if your trying to sell it. Or just make a post. Check E-bay prices 'buy it now' to get a feel for the price. Camera bodies prices drop quick because there is always a newer model released every year with most companies. Also lots of people recommend going to Namdeamun and seeing how much they buy/sell it for and putting it somewhere in between. |

I went looking in Namdaemun today. The best price I found for the Canon kiss x2 was 730,000. The Korean version of the camera (450d) was always around 100,000+ more. So that fits in with what you have all been saying.
Inside the box of the Japanese version there was an international warranty. So that sounds promising unless it's voided somehow by the fact that you buy it in Korea.
I'm only in Korea for 5 more months so the Korean warranty isn't really that important. |

DONT shop at Yesdica; friend saw him drop a bunch used lenses, and I bought a used lens from him, a while back, that I returned because I found out there was dust inside due to missing screws, and it was a real hassle, the guy is a hustler. And if he doesn't have the gear he'll call some of his friends and jack up the prices on you. That's when you gotta be like peace dude, stop giving vitamin c drinks. I recommend never stepping foot in there because there are so many other honest stores in Namdeamun that have good practicing work ethics.
There are some really good stores in Namdeamun, you just have to find them. |
I shopped at this guys store today, I told him my internet cheap price and all the things I would of got from the net, and he matched it right there.
he spoke english, was friendly , and gave me a vitamin c drink.
seems fine by me.
he was WAY cheaper than the other guys around. I went into a few shops and they were all over charging by 200K. so this guy was cheapest, and through in some extras.. |

| Little known secret, the cheapest electronics i've found were at the shops at Incheon Intl. Airport. Of course you have to have a ticket to get in there but i bought a P&C Sony a while back, and it was official, warranty, etc, and cheaper than anything i found online or in stores. They gave me a hefty discount and i think it was tax free. |
