|
|
Hi, I'm a first time applicant for an E-2 visa and am in the process of gathering everything I need to submit to the consulate. I recently heard that they require a notarized letter of reference, which won't be an issue to obtain. This wasn't something I'd heard about before though... Has anyone else been required to submit a letter like this and who would be the appropriate person to write this letter? |

NOT a requirement for a visa, the consulate or immigration.
MAY be a requirement by your employer.
Reference letters (without notarization) are required for EPIK/GEPIK applications.

Thanks so much Ttompatz! I was also wondering whether it would be necessary to obtain a second apostilled copy of my diploma to take to the consulate. I was under the impression that I only needed one to send to my school in Korea? |

The consulate may ask to see the original.
It would be a good idea to keep a 2nd copy of your degree with an apostille for your trip to Korea (too often they are required to change employers when a transfer is not possible).
