Just wondering if places like Technomart and Yongsan are worthwhile for tracking down decent IEMs at a fair price. My Brainwavz quit on me and I'm looking for something new I hopefully don't have to ship in but the Korean internet prices are really jacked up.

The Klipsch Image S4's are decent quality and are now a reasonable 80,000 or less in Korea.

On floor 5 at Yongsan is the Headphones Shop. Take your ipod, you can try them all out. Probably about 75 different earbud selections there.

That Apple store in COEX has a wide variety of models for testing, as well.

I'd like to recommend the motorokr eh20. I have 2, they sound good (especially for the price), have a quality mic built in, and have a remote control built in as well. There are some EOM on gmarket right now at:

http://item.gmarket.co.kr/detailview/Item.asp?goodscode=195219102&pos_shop_cd=SH&pos_class_cd=111111111&pos_class_kind=T&keyword_order=eh20&keyword_seqno=110882164&search_keyword=eh20

but if you want a retail pair they have those also. The 5th floor shop at yongsan has them as well (for 55,000) if you want to try them out.

I'm sure there are plenty of other great sets out there, but I freakin love these things; they're a great balance of performance, price, comfort, and features.

I second the Klipsch Image S4 buds. I highly recommend you get the Comply Foam tips for them. The Bass will blow your mind.

That is my advice but remember you are charged customs if the shipping plus product price exceeds 150,000 won, I believe. So have a family member ship them and value them accordingly.

I didn't see any pics of the remote in that link. Is it part of the mic? Can you control the volume?

Stupidly bought a pair of chinese knock-off Ipod headphones at yongsan. Never knew electronics could fall apart in so many ways...

There's quite the Kilpsch love-in going on here. No doubt they're a decent IEM but I think you can do better in the price range and even lower.
